There are all sorts of options from home funerals, cleansing rituals, Post death vigils, life celebrations, to green burials, science donation, composting, aqua cremation, ocean reefs and more. You even have the choice of products, like wicker, cardboard or simple pine coffins. Did you know that cremains are not necessarily eco-friendly? You can do something about that! Or make art with them! 

If traditional death care is your preferred option, have you ever thought of vendors that offer environmentally sustainable embalming? 

Dying can be expensive. Know what you can do yourself, and what you may want to source out. The bureaucracy of deathcare can largely be handled by next of kin and family, including the transport and care of the body and necessary documents (depending on local and state laws). Make sure your informed so that you can make the best possible decisions for you and your family. There is no right way or wrong way. We are here to help you navigate YOUR way.
